Puuc Route
The Puuc Route is in the hilly region of the Yucatan. These ancient Mayan had an obsession with the rain god in this waterless region. The rain god Chaac can be seen embellished on their architecture, they depended exclusively on rainwater for all their needs and sinkholes that gave them access to the underground rivers.  The southern Puuc Route consists of Loltun, Labna, Xlapak, Sayil, Kabah and the most impressive and purest example of Puuc architecture - Uxmal.
