puerto-morelos Puerto Morelos
A sleepy fishing village and a local fisherman will take you out. Snapper, grouper and barracuda are caught daily. The annual sport-fishing tournament is held during May. Blue marlin, sailfish, amber jack and Dorado are some of the prize-winning catches.
rio-lagartos Rio Lagartos
This national park and fishing port offers plenty of solitude, wildlife and nature.  The area around the village of Rio Lagartos was recently declared a biosphere sanctuary. Locals continue to fish in the Caribbean. Here and at the quaint fishing village of San Felipe, you can rent a boat and 'lanchero' to enjoy a few hours fishing.
